Privacy Policy
Effective date: 17 August 2026
1. Introduction
Nurturly ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of the families who use our app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have about your data.
By using Nurturly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, as well as data generated through your use of the app. This may include:
- Parent or account information: your name, email address, and account credentials used to create and manage your Nurturly account.
- Baby information: your child's name, date of birth, weight, and other profile details you choose to add.
- Feeding information: breast or bottle feeding times, durations, amounts, and related notes.
- Sleep information: sleep start and end times, naps, overnight sleep, and sleep-related patterns.
- Routine tracking: nappy changes, bath times, medication, milestones, and other daily activities you log.
- Health-related information: temperature readings, symptoms, medications, vaccination records, and any health notes you voluntarily record.
- Device and usage information: device type, operating system, app version, and anonymised usage data to help us improve the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, personalise, and improve the Nurturly experience;
- Sync your family's data across devices;
- Send you important service updates, reminders, and optional newsletters;
- Respond to your support requests and feedback;
- Maintain the security and reliability of our systems;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for behavioural advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit and at rest, and we restrict internal access to only those who need it to operate and support the service.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login details confidential.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as it is needed to provide the Nurturly service to you, or for as long as required by law. In practice, this means:
- Account information: retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Baby, feeding, sleep, routine, and health logs: retained while your account is active so you can view your history and long-term trends. You can delete individual entries, a baby profile, or all of your tracked data at any time from within the app.
- Waitlist and marketing contact details: retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them, and reviewed periodically so we do not keep them longer than necessary.
- Device and usage analytics: held in anonymised or aggregated form for up to 24 months to help us improve the app.
- Support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, so we can provide continuity of support.
Deletion: If you delete your account, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal information and your family's tracked data within 30 days. Residual copies may persist in encrypted, access-limited backups for up to a further 90 days, after which they are automatically overwritten. We may retain a limited amount of information for longer where we are legally required to (for example, for tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute resolution purposes), and only for as long as that obligation lasts.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below, and we will confirm once it has been completed.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- With your consent: for example, if you choose to share access with a partner, co-parent, or caregiver through app features.
- Service providers: trusted providers who help us host, secure, and maintain the app, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or others.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update much of your information directly within the app. For other requests, please contact us at the email below.
You may also unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time using the link provided in those messages.
8. Children's Privacy
Nurturly is designed to be used by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
